Specific Terms and Conditions for the Mapping Great Britain Prize Draw 2026

These Terms

1. These terms and conditions are the Specific Terms which apply to this prize draw promotion (the ‘Prize Draw’).
2. These terms apply in addition to the General Terms and you should read these Specific Terms together with the General Terms, which can be found on the OS website: General Terms and Conditions for Prize Draws (ordnancesurvey.co.uk). If any provisions in these Specific Terms conflict with the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.
3. By entering this Prize Draw, you accept that you will be bound by these Specific Terms and the General Terms.

The Prize Draw

4. OS is running the Prize Draw (the ‘Promoter). You can find out more details about OS below.
5. There will be one winner who will receive the prize as stated below:
i. The prize is a behind the scenes guided tour of Ordnance Survey at its Head Quarters in Southampton for one winner and up to one guest. The tour includes a tour of the building and talks from colleagues at Ordnance Survey. Travel, accommodation, meals and any expenses not expressly stated to be included are excluded. The winner may bring up to 1 guest, provided they notify OS of the guests’ details in advance. The winner and their guests must travel together to OS HQ and attend the tour together.
6. The opening date for the Prize Draw is 12pm on 07/09/2026.
7. The closing date for the Prize Draw is midnight on 29/09/2026 or when all 50 qualifying pre-orders of the books have been sold, whichever occurs first. Entries received after either of those events will not be counted.
8. The winner will be chosen by OS by random draw from all the valid entries. The draw will take place within 7 days of the closing date.

Entry

9. To enter the Prize Draw, you must purchase the qualifying product, being a pre-order of the 50 copies of the signed book entitled Mapping Great Britain by Ordnance Survey available from the OS online shop only. The qualifying product can only be purchased here on the OS Shop, and selecting the “Event Ticket & Signed Book” option. Internet access required. Each qualifying purchase permits one entry to the Prize Draw. You must keep proof of purchase, as OS may ask to see this if you win.
10. The Prize Draw is limited to one entry per qualifying purchase.

Winning

11. Failure to claim the prize in accordance with the General Terms will result in the prize being forfeited and OS reserves the right to pick another winner at random from the remaining entries.
12. The Promoter will email the Winner within 30 days of the Winner claiming their prize to arrange a mutually convenient tour date. The tour must be taken by 30th September 2027 and must be taken on a weekday between 9am and 5pm as agreed with OS, subject to availability. If a tour date cannot be agreed within 60 days of acceptance, OS reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.
Attendance at Ordnance Survey premises is subject to Ordnance Survey's visitor, security, health and safety requirements. The winner and any guests must provide any information reasonably requested for security screening and must comply with all instructions provided by Ordnance Survey staff. Photographic ID will be required for security reasons before granting access to the building. Ordnance Survey reserves the right to refuse entry where its security requirements are not met.
If, due to operational, security, health and safety or other circumstances outside Ordnance Survey's reasonable control, the tour cannot proceed as planned, Ordnance Survey reserves the right to reschedule the tour or provide an alternative prize of equivalent value.

Personal Data

13. Where you have indicated your consent to receiving communications from the Promoter about its offers, products, special offers, promotions and services:
a. your email address will be added to OS’s electronic mailing lists accordingly;
b. any personal data you provide will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 and associated laws;
c. the way in which your data will be processed by OS will be in accordance with OS’ Privacy Policy;
d. see also Condition 31 of the General Terms with regard to the announcement of winners;
e. if you do not wish the use of your details for marketing purposes to continue at any time, you can select the unsubscribe option in the emails that are sent to you.
